Virgin wreck hunting off Plymouth

Myself and Rich W, are having a ball diving out of Plymouth this week.

We were invited to dive with a mixed bunch of reprobates that call themselves the "T.O.S.S.E.R.S." a cracking bunch of lads from a mixed diving background.

Today's dive went to 81m and was a resounding success. First dive was an unknown never dived before... but here's a little something that one of the lads picked up today. A great find as it gives us a positive ID, on an old 1874 steamship called the Woodburn with an unfortunate story.

report in a few days once we've finished...

British steamship Woodburn, Capt. Hull, on a voyage from
Madras to London, broke her propeller shaft on August 1st, 1883,

passing ship. It was decided to tow her to England for repairs. At 3

of the tug Recovery, she came into collision with the French liner St. Germain,

Capt. Hull, 16 of the crew and one passenger were drowned, 11 persons
were rescued by the Recovery.
