| New Member | Not really a trip report ..... ..... but nice to see so many DIRx'rs in the Channel at the weekend. Mike and I took the last 2 spots on what we thought was a club trip this weekend on Mike's Sussex boat.... so it was a bit of a surprise when a collection of Divesign's labelled doubles and stages started turning up on the pontoon with a definite bias towards Halcyon and Frog wings.... but what a pleasant surprise to find a number of DIRx'rs on board. So thanks to Gav, Jim, Matt & Richie for a few giggles and good conversation .... Oh the diving .... yeah it was quite nice .... vis was 5-6m I think but I am never a great judge of that .... the current was a bit "swirly" so a bit more effort than ideal for a completely relaxing dive but nothing untoward .... lots and lots of fish and crabs though :D Mal

![]() ![]() | Good to meet you all. Gav had told me I was filling a space on a club trip and that I should begear myself for some outsider sensations. I had my comedy spool icebreaker all rehearsed and everything. So yes it was an interesting pontoon of kit to find. Had a great day and an excellent bimble on the Oceana. There seemed to be a lot more "stuff" on it than usual, broken bottles, plates, divers, crabs, lobsters and the like. Thanks guys for making it all a pleasure. Hope to bump into you again. Jim |
