GUE-UK at LIDS

I ended up at LIDS this weekend partly to help out the GUE UK stand. The show wasn’t massive but it had its busy points. I've taken a few pictures which I thought would be nice to post.

The 4 UK instructors got together to try and raise some awareness of GUE. From left to right are Rich Walker, Brian Allen, Clare Gledhill and John Kendall.

JJ was coming over to present so he ended up lending some of his time to the GUE stand.

I ended up catching up with loads of people - the list would be massive so I won't post it, I even met Finless! It was nice to chat to Rick Stanton and Richie Stevenson who both wandered along to the GUE stand. I went along to Richie’s talk on Sunday which was excellent – just a shame they run out of time and didn’t show the video. Of course I went to Jarrod’s talk which was very good; the idea of a 10 hour bottom time at 90m is still insane though!

Chasey and Janos dropped by for a chat and collared JJ. Mark’s already posted about his chat but I know he was really after an RB80 with its neat flood protection (that or a Meg anyway)

Overall a nice weekend from a social point of view as I caught up with so many people.
