New or old GUE-F

Hi

With the introduction of the new GUE-F curriculum, there seems to be quite a lot of confussion among students whether a course not yet planned could be done according to the old standards.

AFAIU the new standards was supposed to take effect from 1/1-06, and all courses scheduled to take place after this date was to be done according to the new standards, unless it was planned before 1/1-06.

Did I misunderstand any of this?

Best
Anders

Anders,

The idea behind what you're saying is correct, but the dates will depend on when the new standards are formally released. I klnow that Jarrod and co. are working hard on this right now, and I expect the new standards to be implemented within the next few weeks.

Courses arranged before that date will be permitted to run under the old standards, as I understand it, but new ones must run under the new system.

Hope this helps!

Rich

I new classes set up after 1/1 2006 should be in line with the new standards. If you have joined a class planned before this date, old standards could be used. If I was a student I would mail the Instructor and ask if the class could be done with the new standards. In general if its a 3 day class its the old one. If its a 4 day class its the new one.

Take care,
Richard Lundgren
