![]() | Hello Ladies, There is no need anymore for a nervous breakdown: we have develloped a p-valve-thing for women. We call it he She-P. It's made of latex (is this an English word?) and very comfortable. Some women in Holland are allready diving with it. What you need is the She-P and off course a P-valve in your drysuit, some special glue and - if you want to - some tape. And it works after a couple of test-dives The She-P can be used for months and months, just keep it clean. The She-P is still under construction because it is a very new product and we are not commercial persons so do not expect a glamourous presentation If you want more information, the price and a picture, you can e-mail us. Please look at Wethorse Productions for the adress. (there is no - not yet - information about the she-P on the site) ciao, Heleen Last edited by Wethorse; November 14th, 2007 at 01:00 PM.. |

![]() | Heleen is absolutly right about the She-P, it kept us dry during our cave course and it works also with our scooter dives. I use skin glue and tape together and after a couple dives, you get used to it. And not taking off my drysuit between dives is also a good thing. This sounds like a commercial for the product ![]() Greetz Marloes |

| New Member | Yeap, some told me Heleen is an expert Heleen, Stans told me she likes the She-P as well. For me, I don't think I'll need it very soon, I will keep dry for 120 minuts-dives. (Longer dives are quite nasty). However Marijn is quite sure I'll beg you for it very soon. Yet, it sounds quite strange to me and I hestitate if it's really dry.. it's a quite strange idea ![]() Anyway, I will get used to the idea. Yet, I don't have a p-valve in my drysuit either. |

![]() ![]() | Hi, OK I'm not a women but my girlfriend use nappies and for here works fine, is also funny, so I have not only a girlfriend but a big baby too Oswald from Italy OK - so this is now temporarily the grown up area... where we girls can discuss things sensibly ![]() I realised when diving in a wetsuit in Egypt that I am unintentionally or otherwise diving poorly hydrated. Whilst I normally have good hydration, I limit my water on dive days as I don't want to have a problem underwater. I once found myself sorely tempted to cut deco short as I needed a wee - I didn't cut short the stops of course but the result was painful crossed legs and would not have been good decompression either. I've tried wearing nappies, but to be honest have the same problem - I don't want to use them, so again limit my water intake so I don't have to. I discussed this with a diving doc when I had my HSE medical and have decided to use a catheter and a conventional P valve when diving. I have discussed this with my GP who has been reasonably helpful (you should have been a fly on the wall for the start of that conversation ) and a mate has helped me get hold of the right valves to convert the standard P valve to be user friendly for a female (they have to work differently). It will be fitted to my new suit when it arrives and, if anyone is interested, I'll post about how I get on (desperately trying to strike a balance between To Much Information and sharing knowledge with others). In the meantime, what do others do? |
