Bungee loop on back of torch head

Hi all,

could someone please pm me (or post) a pic of the bungee loop at the back of a light head?

Yes I know it is simple but just wanted to double check that I haven't completely misunderstood!

It is just a "boltsnap" knot tied around a small loop of bungee, right?

Cheers,

Mikey

Or use a cable tie with the bungee.

Tried cable ties for a while but found they became brittle and broke. You can't beat a bit of cave line.

If you don't have a groove machined into the end of the ballast, I've found it best to use some thin cave line and tie the bungy loop on to the rubber strain relief with a constrictor knot

Or you can try this method if you like that is to cave line a 3/8" bolt snap to the groove. Check out attached picture.

This is only true of the new light heads - glad someone realised it would be a good idea to include that in the machining process.

Although possibly a popular solution with traditionalists, it's not how GUE currently recommend it be done, though....the current recommendation is to use the bungee loop as shown above.

Yeah, i am using the loop method but just showing another possibility that i saw upon the net.

For the loop method, do you actually clip the double ender on the right chest d ring all the way and unclip it when needed or do you keep the double ender in the pocket and take it out when you need to temporary clip off the light?
