| 20% Ninja 80% Rebel | Belt pouches, lights - AARGH! I'm off to sunnier climes for a holiday in a couple of months (YAY!) and will be wearing my 3mm suit. Without resorting to X-shorts I was wondering what to do about a pocket, I have seen a nice belt pouch from Deep Outdoors, but then wondered what happens when you have a pouch and a can light - can the two live side by side? Please help, I thought I had this figured and now I'm frying my noodle! Dom |

| New Member | I use these For travelling in asia or GBR I use these has the same loops as the cannister light slide it onto the left side waist band. It gets in the way of stages but i only use it for shallow reef dives put an smb, spool and wetnotes. My 3mm suit is used for surfing in sydney so don't want to glue a pocket on it if u don't use the suit for anything else i would glue a pocket. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Why not X-shorts? I have made something very similar myself, just by sewing 2 big pockets onto a pair of shorts. OK, I admit, the material isn't very "rule #6", but it was the strongest the fabric woman claimed to have... You might find other materials if you look harder. Short-style pockets are ideal: you can wear them over any suit, even rented suits, and you are always sure you can get rid of everything in them.

I was just pleased that they didn't fall off! |

| 20% Ninja 80% Rebel | I'm just a bit concerned that a 3mm suit is too thin for mounting a pocket on (don't want a droopy leg! )The suit is an Oceanic Shadow Lite. I was originally looking at using an Explorer pouch from Deep Outdoors, but I have submitted to the will of the collective and got myself a Salvo ![]() Then again, the other thought is for typical Red Sea Reef Bimbling (TM) a 21W HID might be overkill! ![]() ![]() | I intially had a pocket on my webbing for holidays but it sooo irritated me by moving around too much and hanging down like a bag of shopping even being held back with another buckle, I have now adhered a DIRZONE bellows pocket to my 3mm shortie with black witch and it looks good, I used 1 1/2 tubes on each surface and believe me it aint coming off. The reason i prefer black witch over other adhesives is mainly if you go outside the lines then it does'nt look so messy compared to using bostik which would be very untidy looking as it's a pale straw colour this on a black background urggh! although it would depend on your suit colour mine of course being black. Use wide masking tape to mark out area thus eliminating any over spill. HTH BDH |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm not DIR, but I've got an Aquatec pocket that I use sometimes when abroad. I quite like it, but it has a leg strap which is annoying on the surface but fine when done up underwater. I don't think it would interfer with the cannister light, but forgive me if I've misunderstood the situation, but can't you wear it on the left (if you've only got the one) and the lamp on the right?
