| Chimp 2 | Long Hose Deployment I'm just thinking.... Lamphead in left hand.....deploy long hose..... now surely the two cables are going get tangled when the long hose comes away from your chest, or when you are deploying your lamphead do you always feed the head UNDER the long hose on the chest? Confused.

Once the reg is in the receiver's mouth, then you tidy everything up. The first bit of this is to deal with the light cord.Lamphead in left hand.....deploy long hose..... now surely the two cables are going get tangled when the long hose comes away from your chest, or when you are deploying your lamphead do you always feed the head UNDER the long hose on the chest? Confused. One thing to remember is to deal with the light cord again after you have got your long hose back again. This will be covered on your fundies course. HTH J |

Garf, the thinking on this has changed recently IIRC, I had a long discussion with Rich Walker about this very thing in Aug on Fundies. Confused. Where's John ?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | This was an interesting subject on the DIR gig (interesting cos I'd just got a shiny salvo.... mmmmm!) Rich said normal use would have the light cable over the long hose. When you deploy the long hose you do indeed end up with the two cables crossed, but once deployed you just uncross the light cable and job's done. When you're not using the light the cable is tucked into the harness waistband. |

| Resident purveyor of shiney kit.... | As Neil has said, this also avoids the potential of having the light cord trap the long hose if clipped off, if it was behind the long hose when you clip it, it will form a loop round the long hose. Make sense. ? Lot easier to demo than describe. ![]()
