I really don't think there is a 'standard method' I find this works consistently for me. |

| Moderator | Also make sure that the D-ring is in the right place. The difference an inch or 2 makes is amazing, from not being able to get anywhere close to an easy clip. Aptly demonstrated on Fundies for our team. HTH

It helps if the shoulder dring is slightly bent so it potrudes from the webbing. It also helps if you have a backup light secured to the same dring, it will hold the dring down, i.e. prevent it from flopping up and down. I clip my backup light with the "gate" facing in, and my reg with the gate facing "out". Tobin |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Sweeping up to the d-ring and using the thumb here too - but take a look at the boltsnap out of the water first. I found my thumb blocked the gap on smaller snaps any my 5mm gloves. Moving to a larger boltsnap at least gave me a fighting chance of getting it clipped off ![]() |

| Jock Exley | As the others have said Chris...One you have the boltsnap, open the gate, locate the web strap and slide it up until you hit the D-Ring....Providing your D-Rings are in the correct place you should find this pretty easily.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | One thing I forgot to mention that I found really useful (and I know others did the same ) was practice out of the water. You can sit on the sofa at home (or in a hotel room if you're away on business) wearing your gloves and harness and practice clipping stuff on and off ![]() I spent several hours worth of TV watching with the regs on the back of the sofa clipping the SPG and primary on and off ![]() |
