[Group Buy] X-Scooter, New, Full Warranty, Free Shipping $500 off normal price

OK if you've been thinking about getting an X-Scooter, saving your money, biding your time, etc... Now is the time to pull the trigger. We've been offered a great deal on a group buy. Free Worldwide Shipping, $500 Off, and a subscription to Wreck Diver magazine, included with a brand new X-Scooter.

All payments will be made directly to Dive Xtras, and shipping will be directly from Dive Xtras, all we need to do is coordinate the people to pull out their credit cards on the same day!

Here are some example prices:

$2700 - X Scooter Sierra (you might want a battery and charger, too)
$3390 - Standard package (X-Scooter Sierra, Battery, Charger, Spares Kit)
$3865 - Deluxe Travel Package (Standard Package + Scooter Travel Case, Battery Travel Case, and sk7 Compass mount)
$4190 - Long Body package (Standard Package with long body & 2 batteries, 2 chargers)

We need only 6 people to join me in purchasing X-Scooters to take advantage of this. I know there are many more than 6 of you out there who are seriously considering getting one of these. Contact me either here, or at my email address robzr@yahoo.com if you are interested!

International buyers - now is your time to take advantage of the plummeting US dollar and get a great scooter for dirt cheap. With free international shipping and $500 off the base price, you're not going to get a better deal on an X Scooter! Eventually they are going to have to raise the prices since everything we import here is getting more expensive.

__vader is an unknown quantity at this point

Unhappy

Hi,
Very nice deal and tempting!
But the final cost will still be to high because of the tax/vat when shipped to Denmark and the customs gets a hold in it

Bummer, you seem like a nice guy maybe someone could send you a "gift"! Customs may have a hard time believing that one though.

And the free shipping will only be to one of the destinations (i.e the X man nearest the person placing the order) from that point on everyone else will have to pay for the goods to ship, pay the VAT, the import duty and customs brokerage agents fees.

This deal could work out if all 7 people were near each other in the USA.

You need to cross reference that against an equivalent item that went the other way. Basically you pay the VAT and then claim it back using a form that submit to HM Customs which links to a shipment that went out. I still have one of the forms to fill out over an NTSC camcorder which I had to have replaced.

Hi Rob - I've been in contact with Ben about this group buy (in fact he kind of suggested it), he has confirmed that he will take the payments from the individuals, and ship directly to them. This is slightly different than a bunch of guys organizing a quantity to buy at one time, so no problem shipping to different locations.

regards

Rob

I am sorry to see that Ben actually does that as he is undercutting his global dealer network with such a deal.

There is no reason to become an X dealer if this type of deal exists, IMHO.

I agree, seems a little unfair to the dealers.

If dealers were STOCKING dealers, I feel that they deserve support and compassion. If, as is usually the case, they have no product in stock for immediate sale - they don't deserve to be treated any better than anyone with cash in their hand.
Just because someone sold a manufacturer a line, doesn't equate to sole sales through this dealer only and protected prices.

If a manufacturer feels the need to sell only in larger lots, then they should insist on a US$25K or higher first order to get a lower than retail price, and sell to anybody who can meet their conditions. It certainly doesn't hurt to list the discount schedule on your web pricelist, and explain what is necessary to meet the conditions.

Michael
