Steve, the idea of the 'Personal Ads' section wasn't to create a place where you can place your Ebay links.

The idea is to offer DIRx members at least the opportunity to to buy your kit before it goes onto Ebay or the opportunity to buy it while it is there as a sort of Buy it Now.

If you have an idea what you want for it, try placing a price here and see what response you get.

something that has always p'd me off, as a member of a forum i always thought the point was to offer items for sale to like minded people not just advertise a sale elsewhere. i already check ebay regularly.

personally i think ebay links should be banned

Edit: guessing its an admin/mod nightmare but cant you just block redirects/links to ebay?

I'd rather sell via ebay as there is a certain degree of protection for sellers and, ok, I might be able to get a bit more if I can generate a bit of bidding. But as it obviously annoys a few people here I will desist from advertising any of my further ebay sales via this forum. I just thought that some of my gear might be of interest to the members here.
