The first one I saw was a v-weight that covered the tankbands (like the second picture below, cut in two halves. I have always made mine out of regular v-weights (that doesn't cover the tankbands) because those have been available here for a long time. You just need a saw to cut of the corner and then drill a hole in it. Look at the first picture below. It takes maybe 20-30 minutes to do it by hand. You can adjust the weight by using the full length of the original v-weight or by shortening it. The last one I did extends down to the brake of the tanks (double 12s) and weighs something like 2.5 or 3kg. It also nice and reassuring to have a solid one-piece lead weight that can't break, leak, unscrew or give you any kind of trouble. Cheers, Peter PS.
