![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Suit inflation Ok, looking at getting a suit inflation rig, heading towards trimix, and wanted to check what size of cylinder i need. please can you let me know what kind of total gas volume / pressure and cylinder size you tend to use and what dive it relates to. or if someone local (reading) fancies lending me a rig i could always get you some choc's or something ![]() RM

| Site Sponsor | Hi, pretty much everyone I dive with uses the 6cf tanks for UK trimix diving. I top mine off from a donor cylinder (180 - 200bar) after every couple of dives. You don't need loads of gas when only using it to remove suit squeeze and DSMB inflation so 6cf is great. It gives you more mounting options than the bigger tanks but getting fills can be problematic as they are not CE stamped. Getting a basic fill whip to go with it can save a lot of bother. To inflate one of these :- http://www.halcyon.net/mc/dam.shtmlHow or why would you use a suit inflator to inflate your DSMB? I noticed this comment on another thread and thought "how odd". (Well the close circuit version). They have a inflator style nipple on them so you can push the inflation hose on and 'Roberts your fathers brother'. The filling nipple on the DSMBs does not lock onto the hose so it can't get stuck on and if it gets away from you it just pulls off the hose. Daz P.S Personally I prefer to inflate from exhaust gas rather than unclipping an inflation feed, but whatever floats your boat and all that. |
