| New Member | Thin under-hood hood? Happy New Year folks!!! Since it's winter still and my diving is getting a touch chilly (especially on the longer run times) I am looking for something to add a bit more warmth. I'm thinking that a 2mm smooth thin hood to sit under my current 5/7mm hood might help stop any water flushing that way and hold in some more warmth. What are people's thoughts on this and if it's a good idea does anybody have a good product suggestion for it? ![]() Last edited by Little Pete; January 1st, 2006 at 01:41 PM. |

It worked well. Will be trying it soon for diving! |

The main reason that I went on wearing it (even though it earns me some funny looks, specially in tropical waters). Now I am dry suit diving it also ensures that all my hair is kept away from my nek seal, and that it does not stick out from underneath my hood (which probably otherwise would result in a cold water inlet) Can't really say if it makes a difference in temperature, wearing a cap or not with my wet suit. |
