Trespresidentes - another RB80 clone

I'm thinking of getting some gas extender and have found this one. It seems it only is another RB80 copy and guys say that it has some updates integrated. Have you seen this piece in real?

The young chick is not part of the unit which is sad :-)

I have a friend in Hurghada who owns one. He loves it and I found it to be very well built. Very sturdy and it feels indestructable.
BUT
The training is not DIR for sure though.

I find that the trouble with these clones is always the software that comes with the hardware.

Until I am proven otherwise, I will always consider the RB80 to be the ultimate rebreather DUE TO: the complete Hardware & Software package.

If GUE instructors would start teaching on the clones, then I would take the training on an availability and price base. But while GUE exclusivley uses the RB80, then..... RB80 it will be if I ever get round to doing it.

BUT Then again, I am happy with OC for now.

Rb80s (and clones) are a pain for ocean dives - once I got over the initial joy of having one I don't use it unless extending bottom times or below 80 odd meters

ppO2 Monitoring

Frank

Do you know what sort of ppO2 monitoring kit you could install on it? The website says there is a port for fitting something but doesnt say what.

As far as I can see it is just an option. I hope to get some photos soon.

David Rhea was polite enh to give me his ear one day as I attempted to teach him of the virtues of th RB80 in open water (4 years ago). He simply answered [in a heavy texan acsent] "I am drowning in this bull*&^%"

Dude, I have been FIGHTING to try to convince myself to use any type of RB for years and years. And even though I have found the RB80 to be the ONLY solution I could find.... I still cannot justify to myself getting one.

It seems the unit really is looking good. Let see what training will be offered. Configuration can be adjusted. Thanks to David for providing those shots.

Should be cheaper than RB80 since it looks like rubber hoses.
I am curious about the WOB when i see the little holes in the lower part.

And of course do all the clones have "upgrades" and are much better and cheaper :-)

Regards from India

Michael

I would speculate, that any holes at top of counter lung would be covered by the cam strap. thus they have gone for holes further down.

The RB80 having what kind of hose?
The size of the holes impacts the movement of the bellow?
