Dry Gloves...GRRR!

Love the idea of having dry gloves as I really suffer with cold hands!!! Bought myself some of the ND locking dry gloves and thought problem solved...HA!!! Took them out the box sat in shock at their sheer size and shoved them on ebay - £60 well spent!!!

Still really want a set to make UK divng more bearable! What do people recommend - looking at the Diving Concepts ones and the Ro-locks, basically want to retain my latex seal - in case of puncture and have a small - relatively speaking, diameter.

Comments and thoughts anyone!?

Cheers

My first pair of dry gloves were the Skaana ones (same as the Diving Concepts).

Mine are now several years old, but still going strong. I am still using the same pair (really!), although after the first year I pulled out the lining to use regular woolen gloves inside. They are also now they are "well patched", but perfectly functional and dry.

You do have a bit of work stretching them into the drysuit cuff seal, but doing it that way preserves the wrist seal in case of flood (happened to me a few times).

I would go with the same ones again if I had a "do over".

Cheers,

-S

I have been really happy with the rolocks for 3 years now and I believe lots of others here have too. They are really nice to put on and off without help and have quite small dimensions so less disturbing than sitechs for example. They do get a little worn out in a couple of years and can leak if put on carelessly. Still the best system I have tried.

Yep, I use Ro-Locks and haven't had a complaint from them. I use them in a Pro-tec suit and will be shortly moving over to zip seals on a DUI so I will have a pair up for sale fairly soon

The really good thing is that they are easy to change if you hole them (5 mins maximum).

Regards

I think they're great too. In fact, they're so good that I'm also switching to DUI zip seals and will be selling my Ro-Locks too.

If interested, please pm me ...

I've got Nordic blue with latex wrist seals, and also Diving concepts ring system which has been gathering dust since I bough it... I much prefer dry gloves with latex wrist seals as they're so simple and not bulky at all due to lack of plastic rings. Also your suit's seal doesn't get overstretched as with most ring systems that retain the suit's wrist seals. They're also the cheapest to buy and replace... Best price I've found is from Dry Suits from Seaskin Custom Drysuits at £30
