Twin 15 liter tanks

Hi everyone,

Could you please recommend places that sell twin 15 liter steel tank set ups? I live in Singapore, where everyone uses aluminum tanks and my familiarity is with US steel tanks (having previously lived and dove there). I would need a retailer who is willing to ship tanks to Singapore.

Thank you in advance.

The Underwater Explorers website doesn't seem to have 15L tanks for sale. Anyone?

graham - sending you an e-mail. to be honest, i am only familiar with US steel tanks. 15L sounds like a good size for tech 2 level dives. but i don't know anything about their shape, buoyancy characteristics, etc.

Very hard to trim, the diameter is as same as 16, 18, 20 but they are quite shorter. I have D16 which are much, much better then 15. If you can handle D18 it's even better choice. Both are usually slightly positive when empty or close to neutral.

Trimming 15's

Hi, can't comment on the 16's & they might well be the beter bottle, but I dived quite a bit in 15's for a while & didn't find trimming them an issue at all - & they do have a fantastic capacity.

My only issue would have been when getting kitted up in that, since the bottles are shorter, you have to lean back a bit to have the bottles resting on a bench otherwise your back has to take the strain - not great admittedly.

When Rich Walker came over to Ireland to do our fundamentals, the above 15's were the set of doubles I lent him for the course & they looked part of him in the water - hardly any trim issues there!

My experience on 15's FWIW.

best

while I have not tried 15s, a comparison was drawn to 95s, which are common tanks in the US. some people like them, but i find them short and they make me go head down.

thanks for the input.
