![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've done this before - it seemed to work when I shipped my dive gear by sea during a relocation. 1) Remove batteries from canister and store in a separate bag Afterall leaks and off-gassing create their own problems.. 2) Remove O-Ring and store I usually put a grease barrier on an o-ring if I am storing it for a long time 3) place canister in dark, dry location I try to keep the electronics dry - usually by leaving the lid closed and throwing a silica gel sachet in the canister.. i used about 4 sachets in the sea shipment - no visible corrosion from the sea air. Good luck... although it's always painful to put the gear away for so long - I hope it doesn't mean no diving in that period!

I understand this might be advisable for shipping, but I always store mine with the lid off but leave the battery in the canister. Surely that is enough. I store the complete torch in a dry box. I won't be using mine for about 3 - 4 months either.1) Remove batteries from canister and store in a separate bag Afterall leaks and off-gassing create their own problems.. |

Battery will like that :-) |
