![]() | Leash and 6cf BP inflation bottle I am in the process of adding a 6cf inflation bottle to my kit. I mount it on the BP using the Halcyon straps, with the valve and reg about 5-6" lower than the waist strap. Now, I also like to use a leash for my O2 deco bottle even if I am carrying only two deco gases. I lay the leash on my butt cheek and have the valve and reg of the O2 bottle "up the a***". This is very comfortable and streamlined as the O2 bottle is neutral. Great especially while scootering. I have not tried it yet in the water, but I figure that with the 6cf bottle in the way, the leash will have to bit a bit longer for the O2 bottle on the leash to be in the right place. Anybody had similar experience after adding a 6cf inflation bottle?

Anybody had similar experience after adding a 6cf inflation bottle? Just try it. With the 6 cu ft bottle, I use the GI technique to mount the argon bottle right on my waist strap. When I use a leash, the leash crosses the argon bottle without any problems. I often switch between argon inflation and inflation using only backgas, and I'm able to use the same length leash. There's no way of knowing if you'll need a longer leash until you try it. BTW, not sure why you'd use a leash with only 2 deco bottles... Carrying 2 up really isn't really that onerous. By adding a leash with 2 bottles, you seriously increase your chance of losing one of them. ![]() |

![]() | Yes I guess the only way is to give it a go. I don't want to make this a debate of whether to use a leash or not with two deco stages, this has been done before, so let's just say I am carrying three. The leash ends up no where near the Argon bottle..it is clipped to the Dring, which is behind the bottle. I am setup like on the attached picture. The D-ring is in front of the bottle, and if the leash has to go from the Dring towards my butt, it has to "go around" the bottle to do so.
