why waste your money? They are more expensive than what is currently available and what will you do for spares? but an additional left and right 1st stage? Sounds very expensive..

Stick with DS4s or the FSTs.

(see this thread for some good info: Apeks 1st stage for double rig?)

or go Scubapro.

adrian.brown is on a distinguished road

I find with Tek 3's the hose routing does not put so much pressure on the hoses. I don't use hose protectors because I like to see if there is any bulging or pin hole leaks on the male adaptors and when using ds4's the radius bends seem tighter.

As for break down and back up you'll aways have your ds4's to fall back on I got mine from the U.S try DIVE THE ABYSS I bought mine as a set with xtx 50 second stages and hoses, in England the best price I was quoted was £570.00 a set with xtx 50's from divers warehouse.

Left and right stages have three low and one high pressure ports service wise they are a glorified ds4 but a little more sexy.

Don't knock em to you try em.

Tek3 = waste of money

For diaphragm regs, I'd go with Scubapro Mk17s or Mk11s, both of which offer better hose-routing than the DS4.

I use Mk25s which provide the best hose-routing - IMVHO

Has anyone used the Mk19?

I think it is more or less a diaphragm reg but with Mk25 routing.

Try Apeks.CZ which is the main importer of Apeks into Czech Republic.

If you have a company you can get retail prices and sure the VAT will be removed as well. That could give you reasonable price for what you wanted.

Best,
Frank

The hose routing on the TEK3`s is very good. They are very expensive but if you have the cash
Felix at:
Taucher-Zentrum Planet Scuba * Hamburg
has them in stock, drop him a mail and ask:
info@taucher-zentrum.de
€550,00 for the pair if I remember correctly

HTH
