P-valve replacement / Aquaseal removal

Hi,

I'm just wondering if there a way of removing Aquaseal to replace a pee valve without damaging a drysuit? Has anyone done it?

Cheers,

Craig

Acetone??

I think it could do the job.

But better make sure first.
I'd try it anyway.

Check the McNutts website. They have some recommendataions (I think under FAQ) which are appropriate as they make the stuff.

I beleive they recommend solvent (sparingly) and some mechanical "action"

I used Toluene and a white eraser (pencil) to gently remove quite a bit of "bad" aquaseal on my TLS350 when I was patching a cut on a seam. Worked like a charm.

Toluene is the solvent in Cotol. Be sure to work in a WELL ventilated place.

MEK (Methy Etyhl Ketone ) should work fine. It´s nearly the same as Aceton, but it works a lot better to remove old adhesives. You can get it at every Home Store.
Take care for the safety data sheet information!
