| GUE Instructor Site Admin | The official asnswer is, I think, 1.5 metres. Having said that, I don't think there is anything wrong with having a two metre hose on a single - and if you have a cannister torch you will find it easier routing wise to have longer one.

Yes, more a question of light than single or twins. BR Tord |

| Padawan learner | i have a single cylinder setup and have a 2m hose here. It seems to measure up ok (I have not got it installed yet). As already mentioned, you'll find it easier to stow with either a canister torch or a pocket on your right hip to tuck it under.

![]() | Personally, I just use the normal 7ft(2m?) hose when diving singles If I don't have a light on(almost never) then I just tuck the excess into the waistband, just saves me from mucking about with changing hoses around on my setup. |

| Resident purveyor of shiney kit.... | Hi, I'd go with the 7ft as well, tried the 5ft when i used a single and IMVHO it's too short. As has been pointed out as well saves b*ggering about with kit. And it's Cheaper :D Now did I really say that ? :p Cheers

Good to see that you've made it to the forum at last. JAG - On a single i still prefer the 7ft vs the 5. During practice, it allows 2 divers to stay horizontal, face to face with little pull on the reg and with enough room to maneuver. Brian
