![]() | Hi, I use the Halcyon Gators with a DUI CLX450. Main advantage I see: protect the dry-suit from potential damage.. The DUI suits have a cut that does not allow too much air to be trapped in the legs. Thus if you use your suit correctly (injecting air only in the suit to prevent the squeeze and not to trim) then the gators are a nice to have, not a must. They reduce the risk but do not eliminate it. Kind regards. Cyrille

![]() | I use H gators on my DUI CLX450, like Cyrille says, they're helpful but not a must. They do remove the risk of flipping up feet first, but this is unlikely if your trim is right. I do find my trim is slightly better without them as my feet rise up a bit more. I've got them, so I use them, also feel more comfortable/stable diving with gators in confined spaces. Borrow a pair and try them! |

![]() ![]() | I don't use them anymore as their constriction tends to cause cramping in my calves . . .could be circulation and minor decompression issues due to the gaitor wraps constriction as well

![]() | I use mine when I wear thinner underwear. You could say it's summer fashion ![]() I recognized a tendency to cramp also at first, but after some dives it was gone, maybe it is only "look-and-feel", a question of the mind. Iskander |

![]() ![]() | Gator Wraps also for me, helps a little bit for better trim and gives a little bit of protection in cavediving, but they are not a must, if the cut of the drysuit is good, you will not neet them. Cheers Ossi Last edited by gerstl_ossi; April 6th, 2008 at 12:47 AM. |

| Pinoy ako pinoy | They slow air movement into your feet but once its there it will be impossible to get rid of. During diving I found them unnecessary and its better to learn to manage the air in your suit than fix it with equipment ![]() Graham
