New Turtle Fins 2XL

I have been struggling to find a fin that fits for a while now. The usual problem.

SP JetFin XL too small. XXL way too large (I emailed SP about this and was advised that XXL was a special order for special forces to fit over combat boot, so unless you regularly dive with combat boots on, those things are never going to fit anyone! At least you know why now...)

Turtles (XXXL) are too big and wide.

Then there were a whole bunch of imitations: Power fin, Rocket fin etc.
Basically they're all too small as well. I also bought an OMS slipstream fin (avoid these as very light - positively bouyant in fact, even with spring straps), and plasticy.

I should say that I'm a standard size US 13, UK 12 or EURO 48. Normal booties and sometimes a DUI TLS 350 drysuit with turbo soles.

I read recently that XS Scuba have taken over turtle fins from IDI and have developed a new size for turtle fins - 2XL (XXL).

Has anyone had any experience with these in terms of their size? I'd be really interested to hear.

It's either those or the Italian Dive System fins (XXL) Dive System - Made to Measure#

I use the Dive-System ones as i wanted to avoid the wider foot pocket of the Turtles and they fit real nice. I'm UK 11 and use Turbosoles. No experience of the net turtle fins though. Sorry.

Have you looked into the Salvo fins - their XXL fins are right in between the XL and XXl SP; they're also pretty heavy (though not quite as heavy as the SP)

What kind of boots do you have on your dry suit? I have euro size 48, and the SP XXL was perfect for my Otter neopren boots. When I changed to a smaler kind of boots, the SP was to big, but the Turtle fins XXXL was perfect. Same for dui turbo soles.

I had a similar problem, I only have size 10 feet, but they are like somthing straight out of The Lord of the Rings. XL jets were too small, and XXL just too big. I got some XL Turtles from Brian and they are just right, with either rock boots or with 5mm booties over the dry suit socks. I would track down some to try.

Are these smaller than the regular Turtles? I have Turtles and XL Jets, with my new suit my Turtles are way too big, but the XL Jets are a tad too tight (although I can get them on).

Sorry, I know that, I was asking DRE about the Salvo Classic fins-if they slot in between regular Turtles and XL Jets.
