Replacement for screw on Halcyon head

I managed to break the plastic screw that fixes the focus on my old style Halcyon light head, see picture and text in German:

http://www.theorie.physik.uni-muenchen.de/~helling/lampe.html

Does anybody have an idea where to get a replacement? I called an H dealer but they seem not to have this screw as a spare part.

Careful experiments with (metal) screws indicate the thread is slightly smaller than a metric M6 so it might be imperial. Does anybody now the specifications? Any opinions on using a metal (e.g. brass) replacement screw in the delrin body in case I cannot get the original part?

Silent Planet have stocks of just about all light components (excepting the most obscure discontinued ones...). All spare parts are available through UK/Eire dealers. However for a small item like this much less hassle for us just to send one to you. PM me with your address and I will have one put in the post for you. For reference, it's a "nylon focus lock-screw for Goodman handle". The part number is 20.000.511.

Regards
Liisa

About the using of a metal screw..

Regardles of the metal, its waaaay harder than the delrin so its going to kill the existing threading.
Although it wil basically cut its own threading, i'm not sure is this will hold well in the long run.

You might want to give Eddy van Vliet a mail.
info@scubasupport.nl

He builds and repairs prettymuch anything that give light and is DIR.

The screws are imperial 1/4 inch x 20. Not sure if that helps you find one.
