Ha Ha - sore point at the moment Eric.

Signature TLS 350s are hard to get here at the moment and hugely expensive when compared with other suits. I have just ordered one which I got a reasonable deal on and will see how well it fits when it arrives.

Rest assured that however it turns up I'll post about it.

You will pay quite a bit less in the States - I think the most competative place at present is Diveus.

Eric,

Some of the guys here have had varied results with Polar Bears' Explorer - fit seems to be the biggest bugbear. But the suit is essentially similar to the TLS350 (half the price though) have a look at www.polarbears.co.uk. There is another company starting up here called Protec and they are making a TLS copy, or if you prefer the thicker CF200 you might like to investigate O Three - although not many of the GUE trained guys here use them. Too restrictive.

Otter offer a good suit too - Clare, I believe you talked to them at length about a DIR suit?

HTH,

Fraser.

Thanks -

I looked at the PB suits and got mixed replies about them. The Otter Brittianic front entry looks interesting. Only down side of going UK DS - no US support. But DUI and DC suits are going up and up in price.

My personal suggestion would be to go for a DUI TLS, The PB suit is just not right yet, and the boots are frankly rubbish. The Otter is a bullet proof suit but is also not very flexible and weight loads.

I am considering buying a TLS as a 2nd suit (Well actually delegating my PB to a spare suit) and one of my buddies with an Otter is also about to buy a DUI.

HTH

J

Thanks for the reply. DUI and Diving Concepts seems to be the top two. There is a dive show "Beneath the Sea" in NJ in March. I am going to head down and take a look and see the suits in person.

Take Care
