Undersuit alternative

I've got a Weezle Extreme, it can get a little cold, when getting into the shallows, on stops with no air. I'd like to get a Thinsulate but don't want to pay £200 plus.

So can anyone recomend alternatives to DUI/Santi?

Dave

Fourth Element Arctics. Many UK based divers use them. Me included.

Whichever solution you pick though - you will be looking around that figure - or more..

I'm using both the 400 g DUI (my 2nd 400 g DUI) and one new 400 Santi. Both work perfect. The quality & features of the Santi are much better. The mobility is the same & the price

Hi,

did you get the Weezle extreme or the Weezle extreme + ?
Do you have a layer under your weezle ?

Personally I have a weezle extreme + and I use underarmour undergarments to keep the moisture away from my skin.
So far it had been very comfortable to water temps down to 48-50 even for longer times (90 min +).
We are planning to do more dives in the Great Lakes in the future, so I have bought the Xerotherm Artic to layer under the weezle ...

Hope this helps

Cris

PS: My husband and I will be in the Raleigh area from August 1st, look us up and we should be able to help

I am surprised people are wearing 4th Element under weezles, I only wear 4th Element artics over a base layer.

Maybe the water is warmer here

I wear the older fourth element not the new xerotherm. Basicly a thin fleece or wicking layer. Same principle to layering up to go treking.

layering

I've got the standard Extreme.

It's always fine if I use a little extra lead and put a bit more air in the suit.

When I dive with minimum lead it can be cold on stops.

I've got a set of o3 PBB layers, which are similar to Xerotherms

Maybe I'll have to dive with both, in the winter and take the extra lead on the chin.
