Tecg 2g ss buttons

hiya,
I have a uwatec tech 2g and it has worked fine for about a year, the problem now is the left stainless steel button is stuck in fully pressed down. It still works for dives but i can't access any functions mostly reseting the second timer wich is why i bought it in the first place.

My question is has anyone else experienced this? can i fix it? tried soaking in fresh water but still stuck. I really want to sort it out as it means the comp stays on all the time i have to remove the battery after every dive. Uwatec have some big problems as this was a warranty replacement for my old style uwatec bt with the ir turning on and draining battery in 1 day.

I've seen quite a few reports of buttons sticking on the 2g, seems to be a common problem

I had this happen with one of the original Aladin Tecs. I guessed it was related to salt crystals. The warm freshwater didn't work for me either. I ended up getting an o-ring pick and prising it out.

You may want to get in touch with the LDS or Scubapro direct to see if they can rectify the problem or replace the unit (as it appears to be a common problem).

Cheers,

Nick
