![]() | TUSA Imprex Regs Hi folks... Let me say first, (in my very first post) that I am not compeltely "DIR", nor do I consider it to be some sort of rulebook or diving bible. But I do like what it has to say, and I think at the very least, going hogarthian, BP/W, diving the long hose, etc. makes sense and makes me a better/safer diver. Now as a part of doing the long hose thing, I got a second stage at my LDS just to get and get used to on a necklace, figuring that when I go deeper, I'll get a G250, or something. They had a TUSA imprex that they never sold for $45, so I tested it & snapped it up. So onto my question: Is the TUSA Imprex a good reg? I will say that all the times that I have used it, it breathes like a dream, literally no effort to pull from it. I can easily unscrew the frame, pull the diaphragm, and swish it out, and replace it, much easier than my very expensive X650. Thoughts? Thanks, --'Goose

| Chillin' with the ninjas | A last minute incident with my regs last year resulted in me borrowing a set of Tusa Imprex from a French bloke who had decided to sit the dive out. We did 45m or so on them and they were a nice breathe - I didn't want to rush out and buy a set but they were a decent enough regs. If you've bagged yourself a bargain then good for you. |

![]() | On the few that I have rebuilt they seem to be decent regs.....not the best to work on ...but....on the flowmeter they crack around .5 or .6 right out of the box which is better than most of the high end regs which go at .8 to 1 but they do this by using a "trick" a kinda constant venturi....I ain't gonna give up my Apek's, but they won't kill you ....
