Anderson powerpoles

One of the connectors on my Salvo has come unconnected. The wire has come out of the crimping...

Anyone found a source for these in the UK?

Standard Powerpole® Family

Looking at the web site they are available in a number of sizes / amp ratings. Am I right in thinking I'll need catalog #1395?

Thanks

Hi Richie,

Have you given Phill or Amanda at Divingniknaks a ring? He may be able to help you get it fixed, or point you in the right direction for spares

Check your local model supplies stores as they are also very commonly used in electric r/c models which is where I first used them many years ago.

Odds are Phill or Amanda will sort you out though.

I have some of these if you can't get hold of any.

Let me know your address and I'll stick some in an envelope for you.

Richie,

I have a bunch of the connectors and the crimping tool knocking about somewhere too I think.

Cheers,

Frase.

I just chewed a little of the plastic off the end of mine, and soldered the connection.

Wish they'd come up with a more elegant solution than those connectors.

If you're around tomorrow night I'll bring you a couple in. I'll be teaching in the Percy from 7.30 onwards.

Thanks for the offers!

- Bob please ignore my PM I'll meet up with Joe tomorrow night

- Soldering may be an option as well as per LCF's suggestion. I didn't consider cutting away some of the plastic - last time it happened I ended up trying to get the metal bit out without much success!

I've always much preferred to solder these and you don't have to damage the plastic as the connector can be removed.

Take a look here at the proper tool, but you can always improvise once you see what is needed
