![]() | Water in wing Hi. I have an Agir 38 wing. When I exit the water the wing has a lot of water in it. Is this common? I guess its because of my poor gasdumping skills =) What is the best practice here? I use the inflatorhose for dumping only when going down, once down I try to use the dumpvalve only. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Dump valves on wings aren't one-way valves so you're bound to get some water in when, under water, opening the valve to dump air - it's perfectly normal! After diving, just open the corrugated hose dump valve and put some sweet water in, slosh around and dump through both valves to get rid of salt crystals.

| Chimp 4 | Hi. I have an Agir 38 wing. When I exit the water the wing has a lot of water in it. Is this common? The amount in your wing will be proportional to the amount you adjust your buoyancy - i) due to changes during the dive or ii) inexperience. I guess its because of my poor gasdumping skills =) What is the best practice here? I use the inflatorhose for dumping only when going down, once down I try to use the dumpvalve only. Don't worry too much about it - either i) the dive warrants it - or ii) as your experience increases, your buoyancy will be better and less water will be present. As experience increases you will probably start using the rear dumpvalve more and more - and the hose dump less. Have fun. ![]()

It isn't the wing it's me As experience increases you will probably start using the rear dumpvalve more and more - and the hose dump less. Have fun. ![]() ![]() |

![]() | Its me.. Just got a response from Tord at Agir. He confirms whats been said here. It all comes down to this wing being new to me and that I have been a bit to keen on using the dumpvalves.. Thanks all. |
