![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | New Uwatec BT coming... I spotted a flyer for the new Uwatec BT in my dive store today whilst dropping the cylinders in for a fill ready for St Abbs next week. http://www.scubapro.co.uk/pdfs/Digi330_LR.pdf Looks an interesting update on the current model as this one shows average depth (alternating with temp) and ascent rate in M/min. It'll be available for just under £100 from July. |

| Loner at the ball... | A useful couple of enhancements I think....but why did they not make the battery "user changable"? A friend asked Sergio Angelini this and he said that UWATEC wanted to avoid the retooling costs (of putting in a user resealable battery compartment or a button to enable depth average reset) which would in turn increase the price of the unit.Mal |

I am sure the market share of the TEC 2G had something to do with it too ![]()

Why bother, I got over 12 years on my old Grey Uwatec bottomtimers before they died. As soon as I get my 2 of the new ones, my Vyper goes on Ebay and I'll be a happy camper again. Mal Assuming the new ones will also last 12 years, it comes out to about $15.00 a year per bottomtimer, which is very reasonable. What wasn't reasonable was having to get a Vyper 2 years ago with it's miserable display just to have a bottom timer that works deeper than 100M. I'll be glad to see it go. Michael |
