Quick-drying a drysuit

Anyone got any tips on how to expedite the drying of a drysuit? And other wee bits for that matter. I'm away on a bit of a frenetic tour soon and will not have the opportunity to dry the suit properly before moving on. Travelling is going to be train based so i want it as light as possible.
I've got a niggling feeling tumble-drying isnt the best idea.
It's a membrane suit if this makes a difference.

Cheers,

I dive a TLS-350 and it drys fast.. I normally take my dry suit and turn it inside out. By the time I have the rest of my gear broken down ,the suit is dry. I normally leave it inside out until the next day, and turn i right-side out, while setting up for the dive.

I have found that that if I pump up my Aigr wing after taking off my tanks, the wing will be "damp" by the time I have finished with the dry suit. It's not totally dry but good enough to pack up for the day..

As for the other bits, I have yet to find a fast dry method and just put them in a bag unil the next days dive..

Good luck..

Bob

Talking How to Dry a Drysuit, Lesson #2

Hi,

I suppose you do turn your suit inside out to let it dry. With a membrane suit that's our way to do it if the weather is fine.

When it's rainy or cold outside or hanging it on the next tree is not an option for whatever reason, we have what we call our "Drysuit Dryer(TM)". Basically it's a whirlpool (like this - sorry don't know the correct English term http://image01.otto.de/pool/formatb/1307053.jpg ) with the mat taken off. You just stuff the hose into the drysuit leg, close the zipper, 30min (mostly automatic switch-off!), other leg, 30min, done. Worth every cent.
I don't know if it is an option for you, though, since it uses some space when travelling. They do come in different sizes, so have a look around!
