I don't have one, but have breathed one. High performers like my S600, but ugly

X650

I got one of the 1st X650 2nd stages released back in 2005 (I think it was). The reg looked the part but, unfortunately, I ended up sending it back to ScubaPro. It would breath beautifully but every now and then it would become "sticky" and would need a large amount of cracking effort. ScubaPro replaced the reg with a S600. Later I spoke to the ScubaPro sales rep and he admitted that there was a problem with the initial X650. If this problem has been ironed out I believe this reg to be tops - good breathing characteristics, easy to open under water and exhaled bubbles are vented so as not to obscure field of vision.
I suggest going to a ScubaPro dealer and asking if you could try the reg oyut before you buy.

I have one, and like it quite a bit. Granted, I still like my OLD style Graphite G250 (full brass barrel) the most, but the X650 is nice.

There were some "career changes" @ SP over the first X650. It has been tweaked quite a bit. SP had too much in it to just drop it. Got this from a rep at a sales seminar SP puts on every other year or so. Some dive stores refuse to stock them.
