Wink Custom Hose Length - Dry Suit

Yes I know I have asked a couple of people already but I am impatient, also everyone seems to be using argon bottles.

My buddy (Madwomen) commented last weekend that my drysuit hose seemed quiet short and I certainly wouldn't want to disconnect it if wanted to buy one of those dsmb's with the hose inflate system.

So my question is if you DON'T use an argon bottle and route the drysuit hose under your arm and through the harness how long is your hose

My LDS can get me a custom hose, hopefully for when I next need it but having a size would be good and not just 20cm longer than the one I have.

Apologies to the 3 people who have already been asked this question.

before going down the custom hose route, you can get 22", 24" and 30" in standard sizes from most places, includign dirdirect.

I would use whatever is long enough with a bit of slack for SMB inflation, but not so long as it "bows" out and becomes a pain becuase it is flapping around and might catch on something.

My guess is gonna be 22" is right for you, but I have a box full of old hoses somewhere if you just want to connect one to your left post next week and just try it out of the water for length.

Cheers Garf

Isn't 22" the same length as the SPG hose.

Don't forget I have some "chest" to work round

Yes, 56cm is what usually is used for Argon strapped onto doubles,
or "GI-wreckargon" on the belt.
38cm for small bottles mounted to backplate.

You may know the size of your chest, how about adding this to the original proposal.

Hoffi

I can assure you there will be no pictures and you really wouldn't want to see them

However I have just measured my current one and it is 28"

Ooops, I have just measured mine and it is 22". This is on an argon bottle and it used to be on my backgas.

We can have a look on Thursday Fiona if you want, as there does seem to something 'wrong' about the routing as I don't think your chest is that big
