Explorer series suits

Guys,

I'm in the process of replacing my TLS 350 and was advised a while ago to go for the TLS 350 Explorer series suit. AIUI the Explorer series includes the high profile dump valve, original zip and cordura overlays. Aside from that it is like the Signature Series.

According to my LDS (a DUI outlet) the Explorer series is not available in USA, just Europe. So what do you guys in the US buy?

Cheers,

Fraser.

slimer is on a distinguished road

CLX 450 series. It is almost bullet proof. The CF200 is a tad stronger but not abraisnion resistant IMO but does take longer to dry. The TLS series takes almost no time to dry and packes in a smaller space.

Fraser,

You can get the mods on a TLS 350 in the United States to make it like an Explorer Edition. I believe its in the 3k to 3100 USD range. I believe 5th Dimention in WA is selling DUI 350s with those mods. If I had the $$, That is what I would want.

If not - the 450 or the Diving Concepts Ultraflex Suit.

Now - What is Hanukkah Harry brining me

I believe the Explorer is the European styled TLS with additional crotch strap and all.

Cave Cut tends to be American from what I hear?

Frase, if you liked the Mark Messersmith TLS that I'm now wearing - why not ask if they can just duplicate it?

I can PM you the serial number if you want?

Thanks for the replies guys.

Al, I thought about that but tbh the suit was a fraction tight to get my right arm in, other than that it was ideal really. I might still do that.

How do you find that Si Tech dump though?

Cheers,

Frase.

PS You name dropper

The suit is a signature series TLS with classic zip, turbo soles, bellows pockets, re-inforced knees, red overlay, DUI inflator, si-tech dump, latex seals with the warm neck collar thing. It actually has Mark's name in it so it's full on WKPP spec suit - I guess it didn't fit him, but it fits me perfectly.

Really pleased with the suit, the si-tech dump is nice. Perfectly placed and much easier to dump from compared to the apeks low profile on my old suit. I'm still getting used to the suit but much prefer it. I just need to log a few more dives to be sure I've got used to any differences.

Cheers
Al

Cool - I am guessing Mark is a WKPP Guy? Wonder if they have one in XL
