| New Member | Dive Rite backup torches No one mentions the Delrin Tec Back Up light from Dive Rite when thinking about back up lights. Has anyone on here got them? How do they perform? How do they compare to the other options e.g. Halcyon Scout, Photons etc? TIA Mal

| Cave is fun :) | Hi! I have abused a few lights just because i am curious of how much they can take. And the Dive Rite delrin is one of the touches. I have done a tear down of some popular lights under the following link and i have tested all of the lights hard. I have also done some switching of the parts between the different lights just to see what fits and what does not. It is the same parts in a Dive Rite as in a Princeton TEC40 so you can get extremely cheep spare parts if you need for a Dive Rite. My list of lights is as follows: 1 - Halcyon Scoute (robust, simple...a bit to big, a bit to week, to expensive but over all good) 2 - Princeton TEC40 (robust, light, small, cheep, bright...goood goood goood) 3 - Dive Rite delrin (extremely robust, bright, small...bit to expensive but over all good) 4 - UK300 (to big, not fit as a dive light, expensive and for the spare bulb almost as expensive as the whole light...not good) Following link have text in Swedish but I think you get the picture from my description above. I have also done a rip from a later IMPACT and put the parts in a Dive Rite and it is still undergoing testing…so far it is a bit to week…hard do see in extremely murky water. http://www.dykarna.nu/photoAlbum/alb...8&albumId=4343 Regards Mats |
