Deep Sea Supply Back Plate

Hello

I've been diving for over a year now and i want to go to the next level, the local beach dives are not cutting it anymore. How many times can you look at the same pilings? I am going to sign up for the next DIR FUNDIE course and i am starting to upgrade my gear to meet the DIR specs. I just purchased double Faber hp 130"s and a Halcyon harness. I need some help on the back plate. I've narrowed it down between the Halcyon ss and the Deep Sea Supply ss. Any suggestions or input would be great

I don't have a Halcyon plate, but the DSS plates are well made and a slightly different shape with a shallower center channel. They also come with an elastomeric insert in the harness slots that serves as a tensioner (no need for triglides) and avoids wear. My guess would be that the DSS plate would be cheaper as well.

You bought the webbing, but not the plate? Is that what I'm understanding?
