![]() | Deep Sea Supply Back Plate Hello I've been diving for over a year now and i want to go to the next level, the local beach dives are not cutting it anymore. How many times can you look at the same pilings? I am going to sign up for the next DIR FUNDIE course and i am starting to upgrade my gear to meet the DIR specs. I just purchased double Faber hp 130"s and a Halcyon harness. I need some help on the back plate. I've narrowed it down between the Halcyon ss and the Deep Sea Supply ss. Any suggestions or input would be great |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I don't have a Halcyon plate, but the DSS plates are well made and a slightly different shape with a shallower center channel. They also come with an elastomeric insert in the harness slots that serves as a tensioner (no need for triglides) and avoids wear. My guess would be that the DSS plate would be cheaper as well. |
