In the Halcyon Explorer light thread, SeaJay said that he found the new weighted STA a little too shallow for Al80's and the cylinders hit the weight before hitting the side rails. Does anyone have any feedback as to how well this fit's 12l steelies? I was thinking of picking one up to shrink my weight belt but obviously didn't want to order one if it does not fit the cylinders properly.

any feedback is much appreciated.

My weighted STA adaptor fits 15 litres, 12s and my AL80 no probs. Even had an AL 40 on it!!! Maybe SeeJay had a weird one???

Mine is fine with steel 12s an 15s, haven't tried it with an Ali 80 yet though... whoever you're buying one from should be able to tell you, as they probably have a variety of cylinders around.

I just want to let everyone know that the staff at Halcyon really do appreciate all of the feedback that we are able to glean from boards like this one. We do read all of the comments and take the suggestions seriously when we have product review and development meetings. Even seajay's comments. Halcyon's line has evolved over the years because we can respond quickly to suggestions from divers from all corners of the world. You never know where the next great idea will come from; you have to be receptive to all comments, good and bad, to keep an edge...

Best,

Anthony
