| New Member | Dive Rite aluminium back plate & harness I'm thinking of buying an aluminumn back plate for traveling and I'm looking for a cheaper alternative to Halcyon... Does anyone know how the Dive Rite (BC1034 Aluminum (1.5 lbs) http://www.diverite.com/Products/Pro...oductID=BC2116 and Basic Harness (BC1063) http://www.diverite.com/Products/Pro...oductID=BC1063 compares to a Halcyon backplate and harness? Does anyone use both? I'm hoping to use my Halcyon MC storage pack on it along with a Halcyon STA and Eclipse wing (and possibly an Explorer 40 for when diving doubles abroad). Thanks Richard |

| Padawan learner | i'm about to 'upgrade' my girlfriend from an Aluminium backplate to a stainless one. You are welcome to borrow the Aluminium one to see how you like it. As far as the harness goes......it's just the same as any other one piece harness as far as i can see. Oh, the MC Storage pack won't fit on some brands of backplates. The perimeter holes are in the wrong places.
