They've been on the job with the Mexico Cave Exploration Project, tested in the Baltic, on a photo shoot in Cayman, and to the back of the line at Turner and Wakulla-- though I have to say it wasn't easy to keep them out of the WKPP photo galleries. Cost is identical to the Helios lights they replace. We've made improvements to the canister, completely redesigned the battery pack & connections, designed a massively cool new lid concept that is unlike anything on the market, created our own switchboot/protector combination, and added a new groove to the back of the 18W head for a clip tie-off. And it comes with a very nice 4 amp-hour charger that will top off a 9 pack in two hours.Ok True - You have been holding out on us :D. This looks like an awsome light - any more details? Anthony,The new light sounds slick. I am curious how one charges a 9 amphour battery in 2 hours with 4 amp charger? 2 x 4 = 8 Tobin |

Well done too for keeping this in testing despite upgraded designs from other manufactures being introduced on the market. I sincerely hope it's worth the wait for Halcyon. |

Rabbit Tool might use the same OEM-- I don't know since I don't have one to compare-- but it isn't the same charger. Some of the design features look very nice - a welcome return to the reversable lid and Pro 14 style banana plugs. Maybe the 2 hour figure is a real world figure (ie more useful) rather than just on the theoretical capacity of the pack.Best, Anthony On a less technical note, I seriously like the blue o-ring too ![]() |

The AL extrusion & end caps used by Rabbit is also used to house a wide variety of other chargers. I don't know for certain, and it doesn't really matter, but I'd guess the "Rabbit" tool charger is built by others. Tobin |
