Have invested for two xtx50 regulators about three weeks ago, and have only 5 dives so far. Previous regulators were tx40 and tx100 for my twin set.(used for 5 years or so)

It was nice to mount my back up with tha smal exhaust tee, and the primary with the largest one. Use my old 1.st stages (from tx100 (fsr ?)for b/u, and DS4 for primary)

I think they performe very well with air diving/nitrox to 30m, so guess they bee even better with some He.
Feels pretty much like the atx 40/50 i also use.
Do not regret so far. Hope to do some mix dives during the summer to check them out.

(Still I can use the same rep set for all my regulators atx/xtx, and I like the new design )

My 2 bar so far.

Best
jarnt

I would be surprised if anyone is using them on their main kit
- as you probably can't get hold of them yet (or at the right price - the thrifty lot we are)
- and also (and maybe more importantly) they also do not yet have a proven track record - therefore are of unknown reliabilty and performance.

watching with interest..

Ali,

What happened to the MK25's / G250's?

I mean the ones replaced after the Repulse trip?
And besides i though you were now diving the RB80 clone? I would stick with the tried and tested ... do you really need the right or left handed setup for your o/c rig?
when are you going to visit the uk and get some use out of the dry suit?
Hope to see you soon pal, Don sends her love

I just bought 4 oXTX 200 for my kit for the USS Monitor project we just came off of. I put them on my back gas and my stages. They perform very well - the only thing i am not keen on yet is the racheted vane control. But otherwise they perform as well if not better than my Legend LX and ATX100s

At 72 msw they were sweet.

Cool

Bought 2 xtx200's and have been on some 30-35 dives so far in the last two months.

Used on back gas, in the UK (both sea and quarry) and overseas to 70m so far - between 6 & 32 deg c.

Very good breathe. Initial view is that I prefer these to the ATX200 and Poseidon xtremes I used to own.

As above - the ratchet is a bit "cheap & clunky" - but I suppose that's the price for having a reversible reg. Am very glad that Apeks have finally produced a reg with just the one size MP port

[EDIT] hose routing is now very easy with the new evolve

Hi Grant,

After all my regs were stolen, I found that it was easier to replace with Apeks as they were available and I could not find the G-250s anymore. Also the Apeks are better priced , makes sense when you have to buy 5 new regs.

I sold the EDO and putting money aside for a second Gavin Scooter for
guests.

FYI, Qatar Air refused to re-imburse me for the regs as I opened the bag outside the airport. I have had no news from Singapore Airport so I have let it go now and wont hold my breath any longer.

I did speak to the head of Qatar Air but he was to " busy " to deal with me. Of course, If you have a 6' bloke in DPM walk into your office, what would you do ?

Best to Don and hope to see you soon.

Doing the Anita soon and will post a report.

Ali
