![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Stretching exercises - how to improve your valve drill Hi All, I was diving with someone over the weekend who is struggling with reaching his valves. It occured to me that I used to struggle as well but one of the things I did was to add some stretching exercises when at the gym. Dive Fitness have a free pdf which is worth a look: http://www.divefitness.com/html/arti...ld_stretch.pdf Thanks Al |

![]() ![]() | stretching Hi Al, Nice link to really good exercises - wish I'd known about them before. I did Fundies in October and was so far away from reaching my valve on a single 15 that I thought I'd never manage shut downs without some kind of major dislocation. I just figured my shoulder joint wasn't made to bend like that. A month later, after a few simple excercises (such as holding a bit of rope in both hands diagonally across my back and pulling), I can now reach no problem. Point is, don't despair! It really can be managed however impossible it might seem at first. Mark

![]() | Alos if you are using a DS once you get in, spread out and stretch kind of spread eagle to get teh suit stretched on your body. This helps most people and belive it or not, besides just regular stretching, get a book about yoga and do a few of those stretches. SLIMER |
