Are trauma shears ok for DIR-F?

Are trauma shears ok for DIR-F or does it have to be a knife?

The shears are belt mounted BTW.

Not to sure, i have trauma shears clipped to bungie in thigh pocket and knife on webbing.

if the shears are no good they can live in the pocket. I just want to get sorted before DIR-F

They should be fine - there were a few divers that had them during my Fundie's Class. If you are concerned, justs clip them off in a pocket and put a small knife on the waist strap.
