Hello!

Is anybody of you able to explain both effects on a simple, but also scientific
way?

Start with the Acott article that is the first on our "suggested reading list". It is a nice historical review. (RRR ID: 6014)

IIRC then the "Paul Bert effect" is CNS O² toxicity and the "Lorrain Smith effect" refers to Pulmonary Oxygen toxicity.

Why should we shoot you down? No reason! But if you could explain some more Details and if you finally do it, may be some crazy guys might "know it better"! ;-)
