Mexico

Now counting the days til I go to Mexico (feeling like little kid before christmas )

Photos courtesy of DIR Mexico

The caves there last time were a feast for the eyes and the senses and I'd be happy to dive any/all of them again. "NoHoch" was my favourite dive of the week and I'd like to go back there if it can be arranged but I wonder which caves those of you who have been there would recomend - which ones have stayed with you in your memories.

Recommendations please

Mexico is so beautiful it hurts to think about it. I wrote a report of my Cave 2 that includes some of the stuff I saw. I'd highly recommend the Room of Tears in Carwash.

Go on rub it in!

The Nohoch main line dive we did is still my favourite dive bar none. If you go back there keep it quiet or I'll cry

I've heard good things about Temple of Doom...

My last diving day is 16th Diving with Zero Gravity of course - but would be great to see you if we overlap at all.

I'm there from 7th to 17th - staying at the Bahia Tulum.

That is really too bad!
Normally I arrive somewhere late afternoon in the hotel (Catalonie Puerto Aventuras) so maybe we can have dinner somewhere on the 16th?
I start diving on the 17th. Danny will pick me up at 8 so otherwise we meet in the shop :-))
Enjoy your dives!

My favorites: Aktun Koh and Nohoch

Hey,

My favorit plases in Mexico is: Cenote Calimba which is a very beautiful cave in the sac Aktun system and Grand Cenote also in the Sac Aktun system – Bring a stage if you dive Grand Cenote, it becomes very beautiful as soon you are further than the normal 1/6 and1/3 divers.

Eidt: I have to add Room of tears in cenote carwash - Breathtaking

Would love to upload some pictures – but don’t have a clue on how to do it

Best regards

Anders Knudsen

I really enjoyed Temple of Doom - we did the Canyons line, really cool passage shapes. Also Mayan Blue was a stand out for me. B-Tunnel is a little deep (by México standards) for a good dive on Cave 1 limits, though has spectacular colours (it really is very blue). A-Tunnel makes an interesting comparison. It's like Naharon (just across the road) in that everything is black - walls, ceiling, floor, formations, even the line has turned black. A bit spooky but beautiful nonetheless.
