![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Cave diving and UK insurance companies. I'm planning a trip to Mexico next year with a view to doing a cave course and some cenote diving. I've always had combined travel/diving insurance with Westfield, which has proved to suit my requirements, however it specifically excludes cave diving as does all of the others I've looked at. Any pointers to suitable policies available from UK companies? TIA Daz |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks all, I'll look into the options. DAN looks like it might be a good option. I have DAN. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The British Caving Association will do you a travel policy that covers both caving and cave diving emergencies. They will also cover you for climbing accidents if the climbing forms part of the caving/cave diving trip e.g. breaking your leg climbing into a cenote. One thing you need to be careful of with some policies is that only certain "official" rescue groups are covered by the policies. A rescue by individuals (such as UK cave divers being flown to Norway recently to recover a body) then the policy may not cover the expenses. The BCA policy as far as I know does cover the expenses of "unofficial" rescue groups. Travel Insurance You get a discount if your a BCA member. Cheers, Stuart
