Jump Reel?

Out of curiousity,

What are you guys using to make jumps? I ask because I was using Dive Rite jump reels this week (150ft), but then realized that Halcyon only offers reels in the 400ft+ range, and then only finger spools.

Seems strange to take in a bunch of large reels to do jumps, and winding in a finger spool for 100+ ft, could be a bit slow, especially if swimming with the flow.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Most jumps and gaps I have ever encountered have been relatively short. The spools are ok for these and that is what most people are using.

Many different size spools are available to suit both gaps and even large jumps, they have the advantage of being compact and you can easily fit a number in the pockets of the team.

Andy

PS Most jumps are not that large
