WKPP: Turner Sink update

I've just posted the comprehensive dive report for the WKPP's Turner exploration on May 31-June 3:

http://www.gue.com/Projects/WKPP/Updates/index.html

It is truly one of the epic dives ever attempted by the WKPP; the report is well worth taking a few minutes to read. Turner has always been the most difficult section of Leon Sinks to explore-- to date, only two or three sustained push dives have been able to succeed in mapping the downstream section. The dives from this spring are essential in developing a better understanding of the WKP component of the Floridan Aquifer. I also have a new image gallery (linked from the same page) that covers the dive, along with two new maps that illustrates the new cave in relation to Wakulla.

Best,

Anthony

I've put in ten years with the WKPP (including support for the final big push dives in 1999 with George, JJ, and Brent) and I've never been more proud to have been a part of the team than that very long, exhausing day at Turner.

Anthony , I'm sure you and everyone involved should be rightly proud of the achievement.

I had the pleasure of bumping into Mark M at Ginnie last December, so far the only "active" member I've met (if you get me).

Was quite strange to meet someone so "unassuming", If I'm honest I imagined you'd all have egos the size of planets. Quite the reverse in fact it seems.

It's incredible reading for us mere mortals.

Cheers
