The last moments of David Shaw

Hi All,

I'm not a cave diver, but I received these links from a friend and tought that they might be of your interest.

It is a series of videos showing the last moments of David Shaw, a diver who attempted a body rescue at 250m in a cave in South Africa. He died, unfortunately, but the camera he took with him came up to the surface. It is a scary and sad story on how things can go wrong on an extreme sport that requires not only technique and experience, but respect for your limits.

We all read the story, heard about it.... but seeing the footage....it gets to me

Do you have to create an account to download the files?

No but you have to wait 45 seconds before you can download them. Then only 1 at a time.

apparantly they´re zipped with something, I can´t open them!

They are not zipped. They are an avi file for which you need an MPEG 4 codec from xVid (it's free)
